From Humayun Saeed to Humaima Malick here are the local celebs who fizzled out in B-Town before we could say HIT!

We bring to you a list of nine Pakistani actors who forayed into Bollywood but fizzled out before we could say the word HIT!

1. Nadeem Baig

The veteran actor has worked his magic in the local film industry for many years. He got his big break in Bollywood with film Gehri Chot – Urf: Durdesh in 1983 where he played a negative role as Tony. Despite starring alongside tinsel town A-listers including Shashi Kapoor, Sharmila Tagore, Raj Babbar and Parveen Babi, Nadeem didn’t manage to bag any more roles in Bollywood.

2. Moammar Rana

The popular actor first made a cameo appearance in Mahima Chaudhry-Jackie Shroff-starrer Dobara in 2004. He later made an appearance in Ek Second… Jo Zindagi Badal De? in 2010 alongside Jackie Shroff and Manisha Koirala. Both films flopped and Momi failed to pursue his Bollywood dreams.

3. Humayun Saeed

Currently rated among the top actors in Pakistan, and also a close friend of Indian director Mahesh Bhatt, it’s hard to believe that Humayun is familiar with the word ‘failure’. The actor forayed into Bollywood with a negative role in Jashnn. The 2009 film included some newcomers and failed miserably at the box office. And with that, the actor bought himself a one-way ticket back to Pakistan.

4. Mikaal Zulifiqar

The renowned TV actor made his Bollywood debut with Shoot on Sight in 2007. The film also starred veteran Indian actors Naseeruddin Shah and Om Puri. He then appeared as the lead in U R My Jaan in 2011, a remake of Hollywood classic Pretty Woman and Akshay Kumar-starrer Baby which released this year. Although the film managed to do well at the box office, Mikaal received a lot of criticism back home for being a part of the anti-Pakistan film. Mikaal is still struggling to make a mark in Bollywood with the right roles.

5. Meera

The actress made her debut with Indo-Pak joint project Nazar in 2005. The controversy queen made headlines with her bold role alongside Ashmit Patel. She later appeared in Kasak starring Lucky Ali the same year. The film failed to impress audiences and critics, but Meera didn’t give up until her third film Paanch Ghantey Mein Paanch Crore closed doors for her in 2012.

6. Sana Nawaz

The actress entered Bollywood by bagging a role alongside Sunny Deol in 2007 in film Kaafila. It failed miserably at the box office and Sana wasn’t seen in any Bollywood movie after that.

7. Sara Loren

Formerly known as Mona Lizza, the actress made her debut with Kajraare in 2010. The Pooja Bhatt film failed at the box office. Sara later played a bold role in Murder 3 in 2013 and received severe backlash from Pakistan for her choice of roles.

8. Veena Malik

The actress started making headlines as soon as she went to India to participate in Bigg Boss. Her stints in the reality TV show earned her popularity across the border. Veena proved that she could go to any lengths to bag a major role, but all her efforts were in vain. She only managed to sign some low budget films and a few item numbers after she first appeared in Daal Mein Kuch Kaala Hai in 2012.

9. Humaima Malick

The actress who delivered an exceptional performance in Shoaib Mansoor’s Bol failed to work her magic in Bollywood. She got her big break with Raja Natwarlal last year. Unfortunately for Humaima, the Emraan Hashmi-starrer failed at the box office and the actress didn’t bag any roles in tinsel town thereafter.
