Not just the Golden Temple, Aish also met BSF Jawans at the Attari Border and clicked pictures with them. In the photos, Aishwarya is seen in a winter jacket and an army cap.
According to reports, the makers haven't been granted the permission to shoot at the Attari Border yet and have been trying to get approval from BSF Jawans. The team is stuck in Amritsar for the last 20 days.
Directed by Omung Kumar, Sarbjit is based on Sarabjit Singh, an Indian farmer who had supposedly crossed the India-Pakistan border and was arrested by Pakistan, and was then convicted of terrorism and spying and was sentenced to death. He was attacked by inmates at a prison in Lahore in April 2013 and died a few days later.
In the Omung Kumar-directed biopic, Aishwarya is essaying the role of Sarabjit Singh's sister, Dalbir Kaur. Sarbjit stars Randeep Hooda in the titular role. The film is slated to release on May 19 this year.
