History

Established in 2009.

Bollywood Shake was started by Ruchika Dias in 2009 because of her passion for dance and teaching. Ruchika Dias has been trained in Indian classical and folk dance and has choreographed and participated in several performances including Bollywood, hip-hop and Indian classical dances going back to her school days. Her vision for Bollywood Shake is to share her joy and love for Bollywood dance with a wider audience.

Ruchika Dias has been trained in Indian classical dance and has choreographed and participated in several performances including Bollywood, hip-hop and Indian classical dances going back to her school days. Ruchika Dias also has an MBA degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Ruchika started Bollywood Shake to share her joy and love for Bollywood dance with a wider audience and bring Bollywood dancing to the mainstream in Austin!
