Bhangra: Bhangra dance is a lively form of folk music and dance that originates from Punjab (a state in northwest India). People traditionally performed Bhangra when celebrating the harvest season. It is an exuberant dance, traditionally performed by men, however, ladies are also joining in the celebrations. While Bhangra began as a part of harvest festival celebrations, it eventually became a part of such diverse occasions as weddings and New Year celebrations. Moreover, during the last thirty years, Bhangra music has enjoyed a surge in popularity worldwide, both in traditional form and as a fusion with genres such as hip-hop, house, and reggae.
Giddha: Giddha is a popular folk dance of women in the Punjab region of India. The dance is as energetic as Bhangra and at the same time it manages to creatively display feminine grace and elegance.
