History

Established in 2008.

Based in Los Angeles, Lunasha Bollywood Dance Company was envisioned and founded by Rosalba Jasso, a well-established dancer in Los Angeles with a strong background in Bollywood. Her love for Bollywood was inspired by her first teacher Meera Varma, an internationally known dance artist and choreographer. Since then, she has trained under many different Bollywood teachers and has developed her own unique style, which she enjoys sharing with the company and teaching at several studios in Los Angeles.

Meet the Business Owner

Rosalba graduated from UCLA's World Arts and Cultures Department with a degree in dance and History. She was a full-time dance instructor for LAUSD performing arts programs from 2003-2009. She is the owner and company director of the Zahira Dance Company and Lunasha Bollywood Dance Company. Rosalba's dance talent has taken her to Egypt, Canada, Turkey, India, Argentina and around the United States .

Rosalba has been invited to perform for various celebrities including Dr. Dre's wedding anniversary, the Dodgers, the Chicago Bulls and many more. She has been featured in the Ellen Degeneres show, David Tutera's "My Fair Wedding" and the Hallmark Channel, she recently appeared on Vanity Fair magazine posing next to the Victoria Secret models and various other celebrities.
